Maybe it’s because they think it’s because everybody is hellbent on catching up on sleep over a three-day weekend, but as a general rule, mattress brands simply love to run sales over Bank Holiday weekends. Admittedly, lots of the newer bed-in-a-box companies like Leesa, Simba and Otty are nearly always running some special offer or other – but ahead of the August long weekend, they’ve all pulled the stops out.
You can enjoy a selection of pretty awesome deals in the form of mattress sales, discounted bundles and free giveaways – we’ve listed the best of them below. So if you’re currently in the market for a new mattress, now is a good time to get buying. Just don’t wait until you’re back at work next week!
The best Bank Holiday mattress deals
1. Otty: Save £100 on all mattress and get two pillows for £60 less
When we reviewed the Otty Hybrid mattress, we weren’t just impressed by its level of comfort and support – but the relatively cheap price, too. That price has fallen even lower now, as in its Bank Holiday sale, Otty is offering a £100 discount on all purchased mattresses from the Hybrid range. And if you fancy picking up some new pillows? 2. Leesa: Save up to £250 on all mattresses
What we love about the Leesa mattress, as you can read in our full review, is the way it hits that perfect sweet spot between comfort and firmness. In the brand’s Bank Holiday sale, you can enjoy savings up to the tune of £250 – for example, a UK double that’s usually £650 is currently just £449.
3. Simba: Save 33% on bundles
Do you need to give more than your mattress an upgrade? (No, we don’t mean the person you’re sharing it with.) Head to Simba, and you’ll find the so-called ‘lie-in king’ is offering discounts of up to 33% across their range of bundles. For example, a bundle that includes a double mattress, two pillows, a duvet and a mattress protector that usually costs £1047 is now just £694.40.
4. Nectar: Save 20% and get two free pillows
Nectar is the only brand on the market that gives you a full 365 days to trial their mattresses. Yep, that’s how confident they are about their product, which we reviewed here. Over the Bank Holiday weekend, you can enjoy a flat 20% discount on all mattresses, bringing the price tag on a double down from £669 to £559. Oh, and they’re throwing in two pillows completely free of charge.
