Your guide to watching Devin Haney vs 'Jo Jo' Diaz Jr. on Saturday, 4 December anywhere in the world

WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney puts his world title on the line against Joseph Diaz Jr. in Las Vegas. The fight card will begin on Saturday, 4 December at 1 am British Standard Time.

You can watch the fight live on DAZN in both the UK and the US, as well as across the world (excluding Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Macedonia).

If you're abroad, you can access the DAZN coverage of your home nation using a good VPN, like ExpressVPN - but it’s a little complicated, so read on below.

We’ve also listed the full fight card, along with the fighters’ weights and belt titles, plus all the details about the main showdown between Haney and Diaz Jr.

Devin Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) is undefeated in the ring and comes into this fight with mandatory challenger Joseph Diaz Jr. (32-1-1, 15 KOs) holding a WBC title after winning the belt in September 2019. He has since defended his title and perfect record three more times, including a victory over two-time world lightweight champion Jorge Linares in May this year.

For Diaz Jr., this fight was not initially on the cards. After moving up to the lightweight division, he fought Javier Fortuna in July 2021 and won by unanimous decision. This set up a fight against the undefeated Ryan Garcia until the latter injured his hand, leading to an announcement that instead, 135lb champion Haney would fight former IBF super-featherweight title holder Diaz Jr. in December.

Following George Kambosos Jr.’s upset over Teofimo Lopez in November, where he became the WBA, IBF and WBO lightweight world champion, Haney will need a victory to have any chance of lining up a fight with Kambosos and becoming undisputed champion. To add to the drama, Kambosos Jr. is planning to be ringside for Haney vs Diaz Jr.

The fight card is scheduled to begin at 1 am in the UK, 5 pm Pacific Time and 8 pm Eastern Time on 4 December 2021. The ring walks for Haney and Diaz Jr. are expected to start around 11:15 pm EST / 8:15 PST, which is about 4:15 am in the UK, though these timings are subject to change.

How to watch Haney vs Diaz Jr. on DAZN outside your home country: use a good VPN service

DAZN is a global service, but if your account was set up in a particular nation – like the UK – you will be blocked from streaming DAZN content outside of your home region.

Typically, we would suggest using a good VPN. Doing so will change your IP address to make it appear as if you were browsing from the country of your choosing. However, DAZN has specific software that detects if you are using a VPN in a different region to your account, causing the system to restrict your viewing access.

If you’re living abroad and want to access DAZN services in a specific country or language, then your best chance to follow the live action is to set up your VPN before you sign up to DAZN. Once connected to the country of your choice, you can get a DAZN subscription for that specific region. Even if you’re only abroad temporarily and don’t want to pay an additional subscription fee to your home nation, DAZN offers a 30-day free trial so you can get straight into the action free of charge.
