Amazon Echo deals: Black Friday bargains on Echo Dot, Echo Show and more

A total of eight of Amazon’s Echo devices, including the Echo Flex, are on offer with savings of up to 50% available

It wouldn’t be an Amazon deals event without prices being cut across the Echo smart speaker range and, true to form, the retailer has come out swinging in time for Black Friday.

A total of eight of Amazon’s Echo devices, including the Echo Flex, are on offer with savings of up to 50% in the early Amazon Black Friday deals

What’s even better is that these savings are across Amazon’s newest Echo range of devices, as well its older models.

The best Black Friday Amazon Echo deals

1. Echo Flex (Was £25, now £14)

The only Echo device in the current Black Friday sale that isn’t a smart speaker, the Echo Flex is instead a smart plug that means you can have Alexa in more rooms without buying extra Echo speakers.

You can use the Echo Flex in the same way you would use an Echo speaker, though. It’s powered by your voice and when connected to external speakers, can be used to control music. It will also turn your smart appliances on and off and you can use the Echo Flex to Drop In and make Announcements across your network or Echo devices.

There is also a built-in USB port to charge your phone or add an optional third-party accessory like a nightlight or motion sensor.

2. Echo Dot (Was £40, now £19)

The cheapest Echo speaker in the Early Amazon Black Friday deals is the 3rd-generation Echo Dot. It usually retails for £39.99 but is on offer for just £18.99.

This saving applies to all four colours of the Echo Dot – Charcoal, Heather Grey, Sandstone and Plum – and, if you’ve never had an Amazon Music subscription before, you’ll also get six months free thrown in.

Alternatively, you can get the Echo Dot and an Amazon Smart Plug for a tenner cheaper, at £54.98.

3. All-new Echo Dot (Was £50, now £29)

The recently released successor to the 3rd-generation Dot, the 4th-Gen model works in the same way but comes with a circular design which has raised controls on the top and its activation light in the base.

Beyond this, the quality of the speaker has been upgraded and the microphone array is more accurate and responsive.

It’s available in Charcoal, Glacier white and Twilight blue and similarly comes with a free six-month Amazon Music subscription if you’re not had one before. The standard model usually retails for £49.99 but is on offer for £28.99.

The Echo Dot with a clock, which won’t be in stock until 27 November, is usually £59.99 but is on sale for £38.99.

4. Echo Show 5 (Was £80, now £40)

Amazon’s Echo 5 is the smallest, and cheapest way to add a display to your Echo smart speaker collection. It comes with a 5.5in smart display for watching YouTube, TV or making video calls with friends and family. It’s also great for following step-by-step recipes. Like all Echo devices, it comes with Alexa built in and this means you can use voice commands to ask it to play music, set a timer, listen to news headlines and much more.

It’s available in black and white and you can add an Amazon Smart Plug as a bundle offer, which pushes the total price up to £79.98 –a saving of £25.

5. All-new Echo (Was £90, now £60)

Launched only last month alongside its cheaper sibling, the 4th-generation Echo Dot, the new Echo has the same circular design, albeit on a larger scale. It comes in Charcoal, Glacier white and Twilight blue as well as a PRODUCT(RED) design, profits from which go to support health programs in sub-Saharan Africa.

Compared to its predecessor, this upgraded model has improved sound designed to deliver “clear highs, dynamic mids and deep bass for rich, detailed sound that automatically adapts to any room.”

As part of this deal, you can add a Philips Hue light bulb completely for free.

6. Echo Show 8 (Was £120, now £60)

For the same discounted price as the Amazon Echo, you can get the Echo Show 8. An 8in version of the Echo Show 5 listed above. It comes in Charcoal or Sandstone fabric and does all the same things as the Echo Show 5 – albeit on a larger screen.

Add an Amazon Smart Plug to the bundle for a reduced price of £109.98, down from £144.98.

7. Echo Show (Was £220, now £160)

The largest of the Echo Show smart speakers with a display, this 2nd-gen Echo Show has a 10in screen. Upgraded speakers with improved sound, compared to its predecessor, and a fabric design.

You can use it to make calls, including video calls to other Echo devices with a screen, and you can see music lyrics on the display. The size and shape of the display means it has been optimised to be clearly seen from further away.

Add a Philips Hue smart lightbulb to the bundle for no extra cost.
