How to watch UFC 240: Holloway vs Edgar

Max Holloway defends his World Featherweight Championship against Frankie Edgar at UFC 240 at Rogers Place in Canada tonight

Hawaiian-born Holloway last challenged Dustin Poirier at UFC 236 for the UFC Lightweight Championship, which he lost by unanimous decision. The promising 27-year-old fighter will now aim to fight in his familiar Featherweight category where he has not lost since losing to Conor McGregor back in 2013.

At almost a decade older than him, Frankie Edgar will make, what many consider, his final bid for the coveted Featherweight title, almost nine years after he snatched the Lightweight crown from BJ Penn.

This is the third scheduled meeting between Holloway and Edgar but the first time they will meet each other face-to-face in the octagon. They were scheduled to fight at UFC 218 and UFC 222. In the first instance, Edgar pulled out due to injury and in the second, it was Holloway who had to do the same.

The penultimate and co-main fight on the night will feature Cris ‘Cyborg’ who will look to rebound from her first MMA loss in 13 years, when she lost to Amanda Nunes by knockout early in the first round of UFC 232 in December.

She fights Felicia Spencer in the Women’s Featherweight Bout. The Canadian Spencer made her promotional debut at UFC Fight Night in May where she defeated Megan Anderson after an undefeated 6-0 record in the Invicta Fighting Championships.

How to watch UFC 240 wherever you are: use a VPN

Both BT Sport and ESPN+ are geo-restricted, meaning you won’t be able to watch the two UFC 240 title fights if you’re away from the country when the event is broadcast on Saturday/Sunday. The only way to mitigate this is to use a virtual private network or VPN.

These services not only encrypt all your traffic as you browse the web but also let you access geo-blocked content. This means you can simply choose which country you want to browse from and the VPN will trick your device into thinking it is actually located in that country.
