The Ducky DK9008 G2 Pro switched keyboard has a detachable Mini USB cable, some handy shortcut keys and dip switches that let you tweak some of its functions. Like all mechanical keyboards, it's loud when you type on it, especially if you're a high-speed touch-typist. The feedback provided by the keys is far greater than you'll get from any membrane keyboard, and the DK9008 G2 Pro is especially good for both gaming and typing.

We found it slightly more accurate to touch type on than the Steel Series 6G, largely thanks to slightly larger keys with a bit more space between them. It's also a bit higher, with a bit more of slope from the raised back of the keyboard. This leads to a naturally comfortable and ergonomically sound typing position, with your wrists raised slightly off the desk.

At £125, it's expensive even by the standards of switched keyboards; there's nothing designed specifically for gamers and it lacks the LED backlighting and extra features of some rivals. However, we found the keyboard excellent for both games and office applications.
