An expensive but responsive and customisable gaming mouse

The Black Element mouse is the latest addition to Thermaltake’s ever-growing Tt eSports range – it’s a wired nine button mouse aimed at MMO and RTS gamers. You can record keystroke macros using the driver software and bind them to any of the mouse buttons, which should bump up anyone’s Actions Per Minute (APM) - essential for competitive Starcraft.

The mouse itself is thin and long, with an ambidextrous design. However, left-handed users will find reaching the three buttons on the left side a lot harder than right-handed gamers. The 6500-dpi laser makes the mouse feel incredibly responsive, making it a good model for FPS games as well as strategy. Five removable weights and customisable LEDs let you tweak the mouse to your heart's content.

The software suite is a little rough around the edges, and it’s fairly expensive, but the Black Element is still a great gaming mouse.
