Kingston’s ValueRam range is exactly what it sounds like; no-frills memory without any fancy heat sinks or profiles for performance above its default speed. It’s also not tested to the same degree as more expensive memory kits, but we've never had any problems with such inexpensive memory. The KVR1333D3N9HK2/8G 8GB kit comprises two 4GB modules running at a native speed of 1,333MHz.
While there’s nothing particularly remarkable about its specification, the kit performed well in our application benchmarks, producing a score of 101 - just above our reference score of 100. This kit will also give you enough RAM to run almost any intensive application.
This kit is also one of the cheapest we've seen, at just £4.63 per gigabyte, so it's particularly good value. The Crucial BLE2CP4G3D1869DE1TX0CEU kit is slightly quicker and slightly more expensive, but Kingston's KVR1333D3N9HK2/8G is still a Budget Buy.
