Citroën has confirmed launch specification and pricing for its new C1, due for release on the 2nd of April in the UK. As a limited launch offer, Citroën will be offering a £1,000 Citroën Reward deal for buyers of the newly redesigned C1 compact car – meaning prices will start at just £6,995 on the road for the 1.0i 68 three-door VT manual model. Featuring a compact 1.0-litre petrol engine, the new C1 offers some impressive fuel economy figures: the majority of the range offers 65.7mpg, with only the range-topping 1.0i 68 EGS five-door VTR+ model dropping to 62.8mpg. Carbon dioxide emissions sit at 99g per kilometre driven on all but the top model, too, meaning no Vehicle Emissions Duty or congestion charges to pay. While the entry-level three-door and five-door VT is reasonably specified, upgrading to the VTR trim adds extras in the form of daytime LED running lights, air conditioning and electric front windows. The VTR+ trim level goes still further, with the addition of 14in alloy wheels, Citroën’s Connecting Box for Bluetooth and USB connectivity, front fog lights, leather steering wheel and dark tinted windows. Finally, the range-topping EGS VTR+ adds an electronic gear shifter to the steering wheel. Inside, Citroën claims the new C1 is easily spacious enough for four adults and includes a wide selection of storage compartments. Excluding the limited-time £1,000 Citroën Reward offer, prices start at £7,995 on the road for the 1.0i 68 three-door VT, rise to £8,345 for the five-door version, £8,995 for the three-door VTR trim, £9,695 for the three-door VTR+ trim and top out at £10,454 for the 1.0i 68 EGS five-door VTR+.

Leasing and finance will be available at launch, via Elect 4 Personal Lease at £99 per month with free insurance or Elect 3 finance with free insurance on VTR trim level models.
