Amy Cutmore

Amy is a PPA award-winning editor who has worked as a home and technology journalist for more than two decades. Her first role was as a Features Writer, working on titles such as Inside Readers’ Homes, Inspirations for Your Home and Country House & Home.

She went on to work for Beautiful Kitchens magazine, where she became an expert in appliances, worktops and cabinetry, and then to Beautiful Homes, before joining the Ideal Home team in 2010, first working as Consumer Editor, then Technology Editor (and resident Girl About Tech) before landing the role of Digital Editor in 2017, and Group Digital Editor across Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens and Living Etc in 2018. She served as Head of Audience for all Future Homes brands until early 2023.

More recently, she has led the homes team at Saga Exceptional, and freelanced as a writer for sites such as The English Home, Woman & Home, Good Homes and Grand Designs, before joining the Expert Reviews team in September 2024.
