Start the new year with some superb savings, as Three offers up unlimited 4G broadband for just £11/mth
In a stonking mobile broadband deal, Three is offering customers unlimited 4G broadband for only £11/mth for the first six months of a 24-month plan, with no payment or fees due upfront. From month seven, the price rises to a still reasonable £22/mth, leaving you with a total saving of £66 by the end of your contract. If you’d prefer a shorter-term offer, Three has also halved the price of its 12-month unlimited plan, offering you six months set at just £13/mth, and £26/mth thereafter, saving you an eye-catching £78 over the course of a year.
Differing from traditional broadband, this mobile broadband offering utilises a 4G signal instead of a wired connection. The advantages of this option are its ease of set-up, simply needing to be plugged into the wall and charged before being ready to go, and portability, with the Huawei 4G Plus MiFi router being pocket sized and boasting a 9 hr battery life. Useful at home, while working out and about or for entertaining children on long journeys, this versatile hub allows you to connect up to 32 devices at once.
While price and usability are important factors, other chief concerns like coverage and speed must be taken into account. Thankfully, you won’t have to compromise on either if you plump for this set-up, as Three’s outdoor 4G network has 99% coverage in the UK, while offering the second-fastest download speeds, on average, after EE. Clocking in at an average of 28Mbits/sec, Three’s 4G broadband will handily take care of all your day to day streaming, browsing and working needs, with streaming provider Netflix recommending just 15Mbits/sec to stream shows and movies in 4K.
Though we still recommend 4G for reliability and breadth of coverage, if you’d like to reach for even faster speeds, it may be worth your while checking your area’s availability for Three’s 5G home broadband. While it isn’t portable like the MiFi option above, Three’s 5G broadband can reach speeds of up to 204Mbits/sec, according to OpenSignal, which lists the provider as currently having both the fastest and widest-ranging 5G in the UK. Even better, Three is also offering six months for half price on this plan as well, with its unlimited plan starting at just £10/mth.
