Apple’s 15in Core i7 MacBook Pro is sleek, elegantly designed and has a long battery life. Some odd specification choices make it feel like a larger version of the ultra-portable 13in model, rather than a well thought-out computer designed specifically for media-editing on the go. If you can live with Windows and a shorter battery life, then Sony’s Vaio VPC-F11S1E/B is a more generously specified laptop which costs £740 less.
