The iPhone 12 Pro Max is now available at its lowest-ever price

The iPhone 12 Pro Max was our pick of the last generation of iPhones, and now they’re now selling out fast because of a massive price drop

Last week Apple released a new range of iPhones, which means those of us with a sixth sense for saving have been on the lookout for inevitable deals on the iPhone 12. Luckily for us, the £1,199 iPhone 12 Pro Max (256GB) recently got a huge £200 price drop. At just £999, it’s the phone’s lowest-ever price on both Currys and Amazon.

That means one thing – now’s the time to invest in this powerhouse of a phone; you can’t buy the iPhone 12 Pro Max from the Apple website anymore, which means they’re likely discontinued to pave way for the newer models. So, if you’ve had your eye on one for a while, don’t miss out.

We can’t blame you for wanting to invest in the iPhone 12 Pro Max even after the new model is released. When we reviewed it, we were astounded by its superb cameras, tough design and impressive power, giving it a full five stars and a recommended award.

Like others in the iPhone 12 range, the Pro Max shoots 12MP images from all its cameras, including the all-important “selfie” front camera. The difference, and what justifies the slightly higher price, is the improvements to image stabilisation.

Rather than adjusting the lens, the iPhone 12 Pro Max adjusts its larger (1.7um pixels) sensor to compensate for hand movement, leading to superior dynamic range, richer, bolder colours, and lower visual noise. So, if you’re investing in a new phone to vastly improve your image quality, this is the one to get.

In terms of display, it performed excellently in our RGB colour accuracy tests, so your photos will be as true to life as ever. We said, “there’s essentially no difference between colours displayed on-screen and what they should look like in real life.” That, paired with the resolution of 2,778 x 1,284 and a 458 PPI pixel density, makes this one of the best screens on an iPhone to date.

The only drawback is the size of this phone – as the largest phone in the iPhone 12 series, it’s gargantuan and you can feel this difference in size, especially when it’s in your pocket. However, at this discounted price, this is something you would get used to over the course of time.

Regardless, we still think it’s a great phone packed with excellent features which you don’t want to miss out on.
