This EE deal certainly catches the eye: the 256GB version of the Oppo Find X5 Lite 5G with 100GB of data for £39/mth on a two-year plan (£10 upfront), plus a free pair of five-star Oppo Enco Free2 earbuds worth £65 and an Oppo Band fitness tracker that would usually set you back £35. That means you’re getting £100 of freebies, on top of the huge saving you’re already getting compared to if you bought the phone and SIM separately.
We haven’t managed to put the Oppo Find X5 Lite 5G through its paces, but if it’s anything like its more expensive sibling, you’re onto a winner. As well as being 5G-compatible, the phone boasts an MTK Dimensity 900 chip, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 6.4in AMOLED display, a 64MP main camera and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W charging. That’s a decent set of specs for its usual handset-only price of £420.

The first freebies, the £65 Oppo Enco Free2 earbuds, were the recipients of a glowing, five-star review by us. In particular, we were fans of the excellent audio performance, reliable active noise cancellation (ANC) and nifty touch controls. In fact, we declared them to be “Oppo’s best true wireless earbuds yet”, offering more value for money than the company’s much pricier Enco X.
The only downsides with the Enco Free2 buds were their disappointing 20 hours of battery life with ANC switched on (30 hours without it), lack of wireless charging and dearth of customisation options. Still, it’s hard to quibble when they sound so good and come free with this delicious EE deal.
Speaking of which, you also get a complimentary Oppo Band fitness tracker. Like the phone itself, we haven’t been able to test out this £35 wearable, but it combines a good-looking, minimalist design with a 1.1in touchscreen, real-time heart rate tracking, a dozen workout modes, a long battery life, blood oxygen monitoring and swimmer-friendly waterproofing. If you’ve never taken the plunge on a fitness tracker before or are after something straightforward, it could be the ideal device for you.
In short, this is a staggering EE deal.
