Audible Prime Day deal: Get four months for less than HALF PRICE

New customers can get four months for just £2.99/mth in Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale

Appropriate for the company that produces the Echo, Amazon has surprised us all by bouncing a second mega sale back to us in 2022, with the Prime Early Access Sale. In addition to plenty of discounted third-party products, this second Prime Day event also brings the expected reductions on Amazon’s in-house offerings, including this massive saving on an Audible subscription.

Available to new customers only – here classified as people who aren’t current members, don’t currently have a trial membership or haven’t cancelled their Audible account within the past 12 months – this deal allows you to secure four months of subscription at just £2.99 a pop. To put that in context, a monthly subscription would normally set you back £7.99 per month, so you’re saving a cool £20 over the course of the four months.

One thing that’s worth bearing in mind here is that the subscription will be set to automatically renew, so if you don’t remember to cancel it at the end of your four months, you’ll find yourself paying that £8/mth premium.

With your subscription in hand, you’ll receive one token per month that you can use to download and keep a title of your choosing. The library of books is vast and varied: If you’ve been enjoying The Rings of Power, you could go and listen to J.R.R Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring, as read by Gollum actor, Andy Serkis. If murder and mystery are more your vibe, Richard Osman reads every entry in his Thursday Murder Club series, including the brand new release, The Bullet That Missed.

As well as popular books read by popular voices, Audible also has a growing selection of original material to peruse. Arguably the most well-received is the star-studded adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman comic series, starring the likes of James McAvoy, Kat Dennings and Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page. In a turn of excellent timing, the entire third act has just been released on the platform, giving you dozens of hours to spend in the mystical world of dreams.

In addition to the broad offering of content, Audible also has a couple of quality-of-life features that are worth mentioning. The option to speed up or slow down narration gives you that little bit of extra control over the playback, allowing you to tailor it to suit you best. You can also seamlessly switch between devices, so if you’ve been listening to a book on your laptop, you can easily swap over to your phone and continue the story in the car.

This deal is valid from now until 18 December, so whenever you sign up, you’ll be able to secure your listening material through to the new year.
