Get £10 off a £25 Amazon spend ahead of Prime Day

Prime Day is fast approaching and in anticipation of the main event, Amazon is offering Prime members £10 off a £25 spend across the entire site if you install Amazon Assistant for the first time before 14 July. The credit can be used immediately or cashed in over Prime Day (15 and 16 July) but it must be redeemed by 28 July. 

Amazon Assistant is a handy browser extension that keeps you up to date with orders, deal notifications and price comparisons. You can use it to track deals and to view top trending deals and Deals of the Day and it can also let you know if there’s a cheaper Amazon alternative when you’re shopping for products on other retailer sites via pop-up alerts. 

This year’s Amazon Prime Day spans two days, with the onslaught of deals kicking off at one minute past midnight on Monday 15 July. If previous sales are anything to go by, you can expect to see significant savings on items such as laptops, TVs, tablets, headphones, games consoles and coffee machines so it’s worth holding on to that £10 credit to nab an even bigger bargain later this month.

As with most deals promising free cash, there’s a catch. The offer is exclusive to Prime members (you can sign up for a FREE 30-day trial if you’re not already a member) and it’s only available to members who haven’t yet installed Amazon Assistant. The browser extension is available on all major browsers including Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. 

If you qualify for the deal, there are a few things to keep in mind, too: the £10 credit can’t be used against Amazon devices including Echo Dots, Kindles and Fire TV Sticks; it only applies to items sold by and dispatched from Amazon; and it excludes Amazon Warehouse Deals, digital content, alcohol, gift cards and baby formula.
