Pay half price for Lenovo’s excellent screen-based Smart Clock
The Lenovo Smart Clock is half price in this early Black Friday offer from Currys PC World, down from £79.99 to a rather tempting £39.99.
The voice-controlled clock received five stars and a Best Buy award from us, so we can safely say it’s an excellent bedside companion, pairing a 4in touchscreen with in-built Google Assistant functionality.
“Thanks to its small build, natty design and well-thought-out interface, the Smart Clock would have a certain appeal even if were a dumb clock,” wrote our lifestyle and fitness editor, Edward Munn, in his review. “When you consider that it packs in all of the powerful features of Google Assistant into such an attractive and competitively priced package, however, it’d feel an injustice not to award it a Best Buy.”
The main competitor to Lenovo’s offering is Amazon’s Echo Show 5, which is currently £79.99 on the retailer. The Lenovo Smart Clock doesn’t have a camera, whereas Amazon’s device does, so you’ll have to weigh up how important video calling from bed is to your everyday life.
