Amazon deals: Get HUGE savings on the Echo Show 5, Echo Dot and more this Christmas

‘Tis the season to save money. These Amazon deals will help you do exactly that: to celebrate the coming of Christmas, the company has massively reduced the price of its most popular devices, including the newest Echo Show 8 smart display, Echo Dot smart speaker with a nifty clock and the Fire HD 10 tablet.

1. Fire TV Stick Lite (was £30; now £15)
Amazon’s cheapest streaming stick, the Fire TV Stick Lite, gives you access to Full HD content from the likes of Netflix, Disney+, Now TV and, of course, Amazon Prime Video for a staggeringly low outlay. Simply plug the dongle into your TV’s HDMI port and then use the remote, or your voice via Alexa, to find TV and films. It’s the complete streaming package for the price of a stocking filler.
2. Echo Show 5 (was £75; now £36)
We awarded Amazon’s cheapest smart display four stars and a Recommended award in our original review, lauding its competition-busting price, privacy shield on the camera and more compact design. You can use it to watch videos, listen to music, conduct video calls via the 2MP front camera and even play games – all for a gob-smacking £36. That’s the cheapest it’s ever been on the site.
3. Echo Dot with clock (was £60; now £39)
A recipient of a glowing five-star review and Best Buy award, the fourth-generation Echo Dot with clock pairs an improved, clear sound and stylish fabric design with the convenience of telling the time at a glance. It would be perfect on a bedside table, especially given you can set an alarm and cancel it with an old-fashioned tap on the top of the device. Time is of the essence with this deal, though, because it ends on 23 December.
4. Echo Show 8 (was £120; now £80)
The second-generation Echo Show 8 garnered five stars and a Recommended award for its brilliant 13MP camera and excellent sound quality. It’s an ideal device if you’re a frequent video caller, with support for Skype and decent zooming/panning. This smart display was already a steal at £120, which makes the £40 saving an unmissable deal. At £80, it’s now at its joint lowest-ever price on the site.
5. Fire HD 10 (was £150; now £90)
This is a simply stonking saving: a whopping £60 off the five-star Fire HD 10, which is by far the best tablet you can get for this price. With slightly swifter performance, longer battery life and a more compact design, it’s not a huge update on the previous model, but it didn’t need to be. You’re getting exceptional value for money. This offer is for the 32GB version of the tablet with adverts on the lockscreen.
6. Kindle Paperwhite (was £130; now £110)
Save a cool £20 on the newest, five-star Kindle Paperwhite this season. We loved its larger 6.8in, 300ppi screen with slimmer bezels, astonishing battery life of up to ten weeks, USB-C charging and bedtime-friendly warm colours.
