This is the best broadband deal this Black Friday
Premium broadband at an appealing price that cuts through the Black Friday crowd? You're in the right place
There’s been an onslaught of killer broadband deals this Black Friday – great news for all those who are WFH – but few caught our eye more than the Virgin Media Superfast Fibre plans from just £25 per month.
Virgin has long been hailed for its sporadically great deals, so were gratified to see them delivering the (superfast) goods this Black Friday. That’s not to say they’re scrimping on quality either; from the looks of it, Virgin is offering the fastest average download speeds at the lowest price.
Take the entry-level M100-Fibre Broadband plan, offering average download speeds of a particularly zippy 108Mbit/sec for an eminently reasonable £25 per month. If your job dictates you do a lot of downloading (slide decks, spreadsheets, MP4s – pick your poison), this is a great option for you. The 18-month plan is also a great option for streaming addicts (read: all of us, nowadays).
The real clincher is the TV add-on, an absolute steal at an extra £4 per month, bringing the total to just £29 per month. In Virgin Media’s Big Bundle, you’ll get the M100-Fibre Broadband Plan as above, in addition to the V6 TV Box, equipped with 112+ channels and unlimited weekend calls.
We’ve long been fans of Virgin Media, scoring them a robust four stars in our full-length review, praising them for offering the UK’s fastest download speeds while maintaining a fantastic customer satisfaction record. In fact, one of our only gripes was their propensity for expensive packages, rendered irrelevant by these freshly culled prices.
Virgin Media still not for you? Here are some alternative options that may be of interest…
- Sky: Save £28 on the Superfast Broadband & Sky package (now just £39), with access to hundreds of exclusive TV channels and average download speeds of 59Mbits/sec
- Sky: Content fiend? The Superfast Broadband & Big Bundle from Sky offers the same as above but with access to Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and more. Now with £49.50 off…

- EE: If you’re an existing EE pay monthly customer you can get 10% off broadband contracts. What’s more, lots of their packages will boost your monthly data allowance by up to 20GB when signing up.
- Shell: Shell Energy’s Superfast Fibre Plus comes with two months free, plus download speeds of 63Mbit/sec – now £27 per month (down from £36 per month).
