Three deals: Get ultra-affordable broadband ANYWHERE

After reliable, fast and cheap broadband you can use anywhere? These jaw-dropping Three deals are here to help

Three deals on mobile broadband come around frequently, but this one stands apart: unlimited 4G broadband for a mere £11/mth for the first six months of a two-year plan, with nothing to pay upfront. The price will then rise to £22/mth, which is an excellent deal in itself, so you’ll be saving a superb £66 overall. We haven’t got to the best bit, though: the Huawei 4G Plus MiFi router is not only tiny at 95g, but it has a battery life of up to six hours, meaning you can use it anywhere.

You can even use it to connect up to ten Wi-Fi devices, making it ideal for situations as diverse as getting work done in a cafe, watching Netflix from the comfort of your sofa or even keeping your kids entertained on a rainy camping trip. You’re certainly not compromising on quality, either: as we explain below, Three’s 4G network covers 99% of the UK, while it serves up the second-fastest average download speed after EE.

If you’re after fuss-free, plug-and-play broadband that you can use at home and while out, you can’t do much better than this Three deal. Just get in there quickly because the 50% off for six months offer won’t last for long. And note that you can also sign up for a one-year plan for £13/mth for the first six months (then £26/mth)

In our most recent review of Three, we praised its excellent SIM, smartphone and broadband deals – as this offer aptly illustrates – as well as its expanding network. One of the sticking points was its comparatively slow 4G download speeds, but that no longer seems to be the case, according to Opensignal. The independent analytics company registered an average of 28Mbits/sec, putting it in second place behind EE.

That’s more than enough for a laptop, tablet or phone to work, game or stream TV at high quality (Netflix recommends having a download speed of at least 15Mbits/sec to stream in 4K), and bear in mind that it’s an average figure – if you live somewhere with a strong 4G signal, it’s likely to be a lot higher.

However, if that’s still not enough, it’s worth checking out the Three deals on 5G broadband: unlimited 5G broadband for £20/mth on a two-year deal, with three months free via a £60 prepaid Mastercard. Or you could sign up for a year at £24/mth, with nothing to pay upfront.

We still recommend the 4G Three deal for most people, though: you’re getting a very decent speed from an ultra-portable Huawei device for half price for six months. Once again, just make sure you sign up as soon as possible while it lasts.
