Netflix rescued Lucifer from purgatory when Fox abandoned it after three seasons. The popular streaming service will now bring the series to a close in its fifth and final season that airs sometime next year.
The show is based around Lucifer Morningstar, a fallen angel, working with the LAPD to track down criminals. He swaps hell for LA, opening his own nightclub and becoming increasingly embroiled in the demonic threats to Earth.
