Sky Mobile deals like this don’t come along every day: for a limited time, you can get the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 mini with double the amount of data for the same price. That means, for instance, you can pick up the iPhone 12 with 50GB of data (was 25GB) for just £33/mth on a 36-month contract, with nothing to pay upfront and the option to upgrade for free after 24 months. That’s a spectacular saving on a top-tier smartphone from the best mobile network provider overall.
Or, if you’d prefer a smaller and cheaper handset, you could pick up the iPhone 12 mini with 16GB of data (was 8GB) for a budget-friendly £27/mth. Even though they belong to the previous generation of Apple smartphones, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are still exceptional, 5G-compatible devices, as we explain in more detail below. In fact, the biggest criticism of the newer iPhone 13 lineup is that it didn’t offer a huge number of reasons to upgrade.
Whichever iPhone 12 you pick and whatever the amount of data you add on, you’d be hard-pressed to get more bang for your buck than with these Sky Mobile deals. As always, just ensure that you sign up as soon as possible because the delicious data boost won’t last forever.
In our original review, we declared the iPhone 12 to be “the best iPhone for most people”, awarding it four stars out of five and a coveted Recommended award. That still holds true, especially given that it’s now far cheaper to buy. Not only does it have a thinner and lighter design than its predecessor, but it’s compatible with 5G, captures stunning video and will remain fast for years. Our major quibble was with the battery life of 16hrs 30mins in our bespoke tests.
It was an even more positive story with the iPhone 12 mini, which scooped five stars and a Recommend award in our review for its pocket-friendly, durable design, quick performance and inclusion of 5G. In the words of our review, “there isn’t anything that’s remotely as good or as small with as good a camera as this on the smartphone market”. Again, that’s still the case – with the exception of the iPhone 13 mini, which is still much pricer.
Meanwhile, Sky Mobile was the out-and-out winner in our Mobile Network Awards 2021, delivering five-star customer service (unlike a lot of its rivals), superb SIM-only plans and a great data rollover policy. It piggybacks on O2’s network, which performed well in Opensignal’s latest round of tests – especially when it came to the 5G experience.
It’s difficult to overstate just how much value you’re getting with these Sky Mobile deals: two of the best smartphones around and double the data from the very best mobile network. Once again, get in there as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
