Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 falls below £100 for Black Friday
Amazon is currently offering the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 at almost half price
With Black Friday on the horizon, Amazon has added to its platter of deals with an outstanding bargain on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 handset.
Cut from £179, the budget handset is now at the even cheaper price of £99, with two years of Xiaomi UK warranty thrown in for good measure.
In our five-star review of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, we found a lot to love with the phone’s decent battery life and excellent quad camera.
“The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is incredible value for money,” wrote our reviewer Nathan Spendelow. “It has a large, good-quality FHD display, a fantastic quadruple camera setup and it delivers performance that’s on par with one of its key competitors, the Motorola Moto G8.”
With cameras, you’ll be getting a 48MP, f/1.8 primary sensor, which is supported by an 8MP, f/2.2 wide-angle lens, a 2MP, f/2.4 depth module for taking bokeh (or blurred background) shots and, finally, a 2MP, f/2.4 macro lens for shooting small objects up close and personal.
In terms of processor, the Redmi Note 9 has an Octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 CPU. It’s powerful enough to run games as well as everyday tasks, assures Spendelow: “The gaming capabilities of the Redmi Note 9 are certainly up to scratch. Since it has an FHD display, it won’t be able to hit the same onscreen frame rates as budget phones with lower resolution screens, like the Moto G8, but it’s worth the hit for that extra detail.”
