EE Smart Plans let you stream unlimited Spotify

Stream Spotify to your heart’s content with an EE Smart Plan

EE is adding Spotify to its Smart Plan lineup. Joining such vaulted company as Apple Music, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime Video, users will be able to use much-loved streaming service as often as they fancy, courtesy of EE’s Smart Plan initiative – which grants unlimited access to a host of popular apps.

More specifically, Spotify will be included as part of the Music Data Pass, which already includes unlimited streaming for Deezer, Tidal and Apple Music. The Music Data Pass can either be claimed as a swappable benefit via one of EE’s Smart Plans or bought as a standalone pass for £7.99/mth – entitling you to unlimited Spotify streaming every month.

Smart Plans were introduced back in May 2019, with 4G customers able to avail themselves of at least one swappable benefit. Customers on a 5G plan, meanwhile, can claim two swappable benefits.

Aside from the Music Data Pass, customers can opt for the Video Data Pass, which lets you watch all the Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Netflix and BT Sport you like. You can also add the pass to any EE plan for just £8.99/mth.

Alternatively, there’s a Gamer Data Pass, with customers able to play mobile games without eating into their main plan allowance – including data-guzzling options like Pokémon Go, FIFA and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Suffice it to say that Smart Plans bring a whole new dimension to your morning commute, all without touching your data allowance. Not entitled to a swappable benefit? The Gamer Data Pass costs £7.99/mth.

Meanwhile, jet-setting EE customers might want to opt for the Roam Further Pass, which enables users to extend your data, minutes and texts to far-off places including US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Mexico.

We’ve long been fans of EE as a network, giving it four stars in our original full-length review. Why the accreditation? EE boasts fast 4G speeds, fantastic coverage and first-in-class reliability. Our only qualm was that it’s quite expensive when compared to other networks; but when great value deals like this roll around, our reservations are all but eliminated.
