Samsung Ativ One 5 Style announced

Samsung has introduced the Ativ One 5, a svelte all-in-one PC that takes its design cues from the Galaxy Tab range of tablets

Samsung’s Premire event wasn’t just focused on tablets, laptops and smartphones – the company also revealed the Ativ One 5 Style, a sleek all-in-one PC that takes plenty of design inspiration from the Galaxy Tab tablet range.

With a white bezel, aluminium accents and curved edges, the Ativ One 5 Style looks like an oversized Ativ Tab 3. With a 21.5in, Full HD display and an adjustable hinge to get the best viewing angle, it’s clearly designed to replace the bulky family desktop without taking up too much space on a desk.

It might not have the same ultra-high resolution display as the the Ativ Book 9 Plus, but the touchscreen should make using the Windows 8 Start Screen a whole lot easier.

Powered by a quad-core AMD A6 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 1TB of mechanical storage, the Ative One 5 Style isn’t going to set the performance world alight, but the HDMI input on the back of the set will let you connect a games console to the display when you want to play rather than work. There’s also two USB 3 ports, two regular USBs, a multi-format card reader and an HDMI output too.

Samsung has yet to reveal what the Ativ One 5 Style will cost, or when it will be available in the UK, only saying to expect it from selected retailers later in the year.
