Sky’s Superfast broadband hits record low price in Black Friday deal

You know Black Friday is near when Sky Broadband is discounted – and to a record low price at that. Its entry-level Superfast 35 package usually costs £25/mth but is currently available for just £23/mth, which is the best monthly fee we’ve seen thus far. Over the duration of an 18-month contract, that will save you an excellent £36 while you enjoy average download times of 36Mbits/sec.
But what’s there to know about Sky Broadband? While it didn’t win any particular gongs from us in this year’s Expert Reviews Best Broadband Awards, in our full-length Sky broadband review we gave it a Highly Commended award for its reliability, speeds and, crucially, customer service. Ofcom found customer satisfaction levels for Sky were on or above average, with the provider getting fewer complaints per 100,000 users than nearly every other big ISP (EE being the only exception).
As for this particular Superfast 35 package – Sky’s entry-level offering – it’s certainly one to consider at this price. You’ll be treated to those aforementioned 36Mbits/sec download speeds, as well as 9Mbits/sec average upload speeds – on par with the basic packages of many other providers like EE or BT. You’ll be charged a £19.95 setup fee for the pleasure, but thereafter you’ll be set for the Sky experience which includes bundled Broadband Shield security features and Safe Search filters.
What will be set up is Sky’s latest Broadband Hub: a dual-band Wi-Fi 5 device with four Gigabit Ethernet ports, eight antennas, smart channel selection and support for up to a whopping 64 devices.
