Ubisoft’s The Crew coming November 11, new trailer released at E3

The Crew

Ubisoft has shown off more footage from its open-world racer The Crew, which will let gamers drive across the USA on the 11th of November

Open worlds were the theme of the day at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference – following reveals of Far Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed Unity and The Division, the company took to the stage to show off the latest gameplay trailer for The Crew. The cross-country racer will let gamers drive from one coast of the US to the other when it arrives in November.

The time lapse trailer shows a single two hour missions in which players drive from Miami to Los Angeles, taking in famous US landmarks along the way with a huge selection of cars to choose from. As players progress, the terrain, weather conditions and time of day change based on your location.

The Crew is an always-online racer that pits groups of gamers against each other in a race to the top of the leaderboards. More MMO than arcade racer, gamers will be able to choose one of six car types and specialise in individual cars to improve things like handling, acceleration and braking.

If you’re keen to try the game before its official release, and have a powerful gaming PC, you can sign up for the closed beta on the official Ubisoft The Crew webpage. Gamers lucky enough to get picked will have early access starting from the 23rd of July.

The Crew is due to go on sale on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on the 11th of November. We’re hoping to get an early look at the game later this week on the E3 show floor, so be sure to check back for some first impressions.
