How to watch Chelsea vs Liverpool: Live stream the FA Cup fifth round tie
The Blues host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge tonight – here's how to watch the FA Cup action
One of the biggest draws of the FA Cup fifth-round will see Frank Lampard’s Chelsea host Premier League leaders Liverpool at home, at Stamford Bridge, tonight. Kickoff is at 7:45pm and you can watch the game free on BBC One in the UK.
Liverpool struggled through their fourth-round match, and its subsequent replay, against League One side Shrewsbury Town who held The Reds to a 2-2 draw at home before losing 1-0 at Anfield. Chelsea, meanwhile, scraped a 2-1 victory over Championships side, Hull City.
When the two sides met in the Premier League in September, Liverpool took the three points at Stamford Bridge. However, Chelsea knocked Liverpool out of last season’s Football League Cup and held them to a 2-2 draw in the UEFA Super Cup before Liverpool edged the win on penalties.
Liverpool currently sit 35 points ahead of fourth-place Chelsea in the league, which means that it could be interesting to see how the teams face off against each other in pursuit of this year’s FA Cup trophy.
There are a total of eight games being played this week as part of the FA Cup fifth round and the matches are split over four days. Only four of these matches are televised and for fans Chelsea and Liverpool fans (as well as the neutrals), they’ll be able to watch the game for free on BBC.
