How to watch England vs Pakistan: Live stream the third Test match online

The third Test match between England and Pakistan starts on Friday, 21 August. Here's how to watch it anywhere in the world

The second Test match between England and Pakistan resulted in a stalemate because of poor weather conditions in Southampton. England currently lead the three-match Test series 1-0, which means they’ll need to win or draw the final Test match that takes place at the same venue from Friday, 21 August, in order to win the series. The series will be immediately followed by three Twenty20 Internationals between the two teams that start next week.

Only 134 overs were bowled in the second Test match as rain and bad light hampered proceedings on most days. England showed promise with the ball with the veteran bowling line-up of Stuart Broad and James Anderson combining to pick up seven wickets as Pakistan were bowled out for 236 in the first innings. The hosts scored 110/4 in reply as Pakistan’s bowlers continued to torment the English batsmen before weather brought a premature end to the Test match.

England snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the thrilling opening Test match at Manchester against Pakistan. Chasing 277 to win, England were reduced to 117-5 before Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes both scored valuable half-centuries from lower-down the batting order to see their side home with three wickets to spare.

Prior to that, Pakistan scored 326 runs in the first innings on the back of a commanding 156 from opener Shan Masood and a half-century from Babar Azam. They then bowled the home team out for 219 as spinner Yasir Shah took four wickets.

But it was Pakistan’s batting in the second innings that let them down as the England bowlers held them to just 169; Shah was the top-scorer that innings with just 33 runs. The all-rounder returned to dismiss England’s top-order cheaply in the fourth innings, but eventually, England scored reached their target comfortably thanks to a lower-order resistance from Man of the Match Woakes and Buttler.

Live coverage of the third Test match between England Pakistan at the Rose Bowl in Southampton begins at 10:30am every day from Friday, 21 August, on Sky Sports and Now TV Sky Sports Pass in the UK.
