How to watch WandaVision in the UK, US and abroad

Every episode of Marvel's blockbuster TV series WandaVision is now streaming online. Here’s how to watch it anywhere in the world

WandaVision is a nine-episode TV miniseries starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who Marvel fans will already be familiar with as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision. Produced by Marvel Studios, the series picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The entire series is now available to stream on Disney+.

WandaVision is created by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shankman, who has previously directed episodes of Game of Thrones and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Each WandaVision episode is basically a half-hour sitcom that is a throwback to a different decade of US TV from the 1950s until the 2000s.

WandaVision marks the start of “Phase Four” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s the first TV show produced by Marvel Studios and Marvel’s much-anticipated return after 18 months. 2019 was a massively successful year for the franchise with Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home all releasing within the span of a few months, albeit on the big screen.

Like multiple Marvel movies and TV series, WandaVision was initially due to be released last year, but production was halted because of the pandemic. If everything goes according to schedule, then Marvel will be hoping to compensate for a dud 2020 with a volley of new movies and TV series this year.

A few weeks after WandaVision ends, Disney+ will premier the new The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV series in March, quickly followed by Loki in May. Apart from that, the postponed movie releases of Black Widow (May), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July), and Eternals are also slated to premiere on the big screen later this year. If we’re lucky, it could mean that all of the above will come to Disney+ in 2021.

How to watch WandaVision in the UK and US: Disney+

The only way to watch WandaVision is by getting a Disney+ subscription, which is the home to almost all Marvel, Disney, Star Wars and Pixar content. Disney+ plans differ based on where in the world you live. In the UK, Disney Plus now costs £7.99 for a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time.

There are no free trials offered by the streaming service anymore. Marvel can possibly release as many as six TV series this year, so if you’re intrigued to see what’s on offer, you’re better off choosing the Disney+ annual subscription that costs £79.90 instead. Similarly, if you live in the US, you can subscribe to Disney+ for $7.99/month or $79.99/year.

You can read our in-depth Disney+ review to find out if it’s worth your money. But if you’re a Marvel and/or Star Wars fanatic, we reckon the service is absolutely worth your money, especially considering most people are likely to be homebound in search of quality entertainment, especially during the first half of 2021.

How to watch WandaVision abroad: use a good VPN service

Since its US launch in late 2019, Disney+ has become one of the fastest-growing streaming services in the world. It’s now available in almost 50 countries with nearly 100 million subscribers. Given Marvel is one of the main reasons that most people subscribe to Disney+, we’d be surprised if WandaVision isn’t streaming in all the countries where the streaming service is live. Yet, if you find yourself living in a place that doesn’t yet have Disney+ – or can’t seem to access WandaVision – your best bet is to subscribe to a good VPN service.

A VPN basically serves multiple purposes and we recommend that everyone use one. Apart from enhancing your device’s security by encrypting all your traffic, it lets you browse “virtually” from anywhere in the world by simply choosing which country’s servers you want to use. To watch WandaVision, simply connect to any UK or US server and go to Disney+ to start streaming the show. You will need to take out a Disney+ subscription if you don’t have one, but a VPN will make that process a breeze, as long as you have an international credit card. Among all the VPN services we’ve used, there are two that we highly recommend.
