The original Simba Hybrid mattress is currently 40% cheaper in the brand’s bank holiday sale – now starting at £449 for the single model (was £749), and rising to £689 in a king size (was £1,149). This supportive bed-in-a-box mattress is firm yet comfortable, made up of several layers of foam (including an open cell “Simbatex” layer, designed to aid air flow and promote temperature control), alongside a layer of micro pocket springs. What’s more, as with all Simba mattresses, you get a full year-long trial period to try it out for yourself, during which you can return it for a full refund if it’s not for you.

If you had your eyes on the Hybrid Pro, but baulked at its price tag, now’s your chance to get a massive 40% discount on one of our favourite Simba mattresses. At full price, a single size Hybrid Pro will cost you £1,149, but you can now get this for just £689 in the bank holiday sale. Alternatively, if you’re after a double mattress, this will cost you £899 (down from £1,499), while a king size Hybrid Pro is down from £1,649 to £989. As ever, don’t be swayed by a slashed price tag alone: when we reviewed it, we dubbed the Simba Hybrid Pro the most comfortable bed-in-a-box mattress we’d ever tested. With two layers of micro pocket springs and a wool comfort layer, it’s supportive, comfortable and offers great temperature control.

Thanks to the bank holiday sales, Simba’s most affordable offering is now even cheaper, with a 40% discount on the Hybrid Essential – bringing it down from £699 to just £419 in a single size. A double Hybrid Essential, on the other hand, has been discounted from £829 to £497, while a king size will now cost you £599 (was £999). At a newly affordable price tag, this bed-in-a-box mattress is a great option for a student bedroom, for upgrading a child’s bed or for kitting out the spare room. The Essential is at its most comfortable and supportive when used on a solid base, as opposed to a sprung slatted base, which is worth taking into account before you take the plunge.
Simba Hybrid Luxe mattress (king size was £2,299, now £1,379)

Offering a remarkable ten layers of comfort – worthy of the eponymous princess in The Princess and the Pea – Simba’s Hybrid Luxe is the brand’s most advanced, and most expensive, mattress to date. Offering a combination of supreme comfort and stellar support, this model suits all sleeping positions. The Luxe contains three layers of pocket springs (double titanium “Aerocoil” springs, plus a high carbon steel spring base layer), as well as a breathable wool layer infused with bamboo that does the heavy lifting on the temperature and moisture-control front. We gave the Simba Luxe five stars in our full-length review, with the usual caveat about its high price tag, now a concern of the past (or at least a concern of less potency) thanks to the bank holiday sales.

Simba is also offering customers a whopping 35% off pillows and duvets when they purchase a mattress in the bank holiday sales. The Simba Hybrid Pillow – which we crowned most versatile pillow in our roundup of best pillows – is currently priced at £82, but comes right down to £53 with the bank holiday discount. Meanwhile, the Simba Hybrid Duvet – which we included in our list of best duvets to buy – is down 35% from £199 to £129 (in a double size) with any mattress purchase. The newer, all-year-round Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet can also be snapped up at £227 (for a double), down from its usual £349 price tag.
Simba Bed Frames (up to 55% off)

The biggest price cut of all is on Simba’s bed frames, which have been reduced by up to 55% in the bank holiday sales. The linen-style Orion bed frames have been slashed by 51%, with the double bed frame down to £573 from £1,169. There’s 55% to be saved on the winged Pegasus bed frames, with doubles now just £643 a pop (down from £1,429). You can also save 55% on the button-backed Sirius bed frame: formerly a hefty £1,639 for a double bed frame, they’re now just £738, saving you a gargantuan £901.
