Our favourite mid-range electric toothbrush, the Oral-B Smart 6 6000N, has had its price slashed as part of Amazon’s Prime Day sales.
It’s currently available for a mere £55, which is half the price it was before Prime Day and a fraction of its £220 RRP.
The Smart 6 6000N is a standout entry on our best electric toothbrush page and the sweet spot in Oral-B’s range of Bluetooth-enabled devices in terms of the features on offer versus price.
It has five different cleaning modes, including Gum Care, Whitening and Sensitive and comes with three replacement oscillating brush heads, a handy travel case and a charging base via which you top up its lithium-ion battery.
That battery lasted 67 minutes during our testing, so assuming you brush twice a day for the recommended two minutes, you should get a fortnight’s worth of use before needing to recharge it.
As is the case with all of Oral-B’s smart toothbrushes, you’ll get the most out of the 6000N while using the Oral-B companion app. Connect the brush to your smartphone via Bluetooth and the app will provide what Oral-B describes as “Smart Coaching” to help you improve your brushing routine.
That coaching includes real-time feedback via the brush’s LED ring and a timer to ensure you brush all four quarters of your mouth for an adequate amount of time. The app will also track your usage over time and offer you hints and tips to achieve exceptional dental hygiene.
The brush itself features pressure sensor control to ensure you’re not going too wild on your gums and Oral-B says that the uniquely designed round brush heads remove up to 100% more plaque than traditional alternatives.
