Roku has signed a deal with ITV to bring the broadcaster’s ITV Player catch-up service to its media streaming products, just in time for the World Cup kick off tomorrow and next month’s Tour de France.

Anyone with a Roku streaming stick or set-top box will be able to download the channel and stream the last 30 days of ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and cITV programmes, meaning they can catch up on Corrie, watch the Britain’s Got Talent final or watch ITV’s comprehensive sports event coverage.

Roku already has a huge selection of over 750 catch-up, on-demand and streaming services, eclipsing the number of apps that support Google’s Chromecast dongle, and this latest addition gives it a comprehensive line-up of UK-centric content.

Thanks to a partnership with Roku and Sky, Now TV customers will also get access to ITV Player.

ITV’s Director of Pay & Distribution Martin Goswami said “A key part of our strategy is to make our content accessible on multiple platforms and we are delighted to be working with Roku to bring our programmes to their devices.”
