BT Halo is here: BT launches its combined 5G, broadband and home phone Halo plan

BT Halo – the converged plan that combines its broadband, 5G and tech support – is now available to customers.

Not to be confused with its BT Halo call-blocking landline phone, the new BT Halo package was announced as part of the launch of BT’s 5G network last month. 

Described by the company as the UK’s “best converged plan”, BT Halo bundles ultrafast broadband with unlimited data and 5G on a mobile, and in-home support via BT’s new Home Tech Experts.

In the home, this package comes with BT’s Complete Wi-Fi and Keep Connected promise, which guarantee the fastest Wi-Fi speeds anywhere in your home, at all times, via the use of 4G hubs and its broadband is supplied via the latest BT Smart Hub 2 router.

This router recently added new Wi-Fi controls and support for the MyBT app, which let you pause internet access on up to 15 devices individually, set up time limits or group smart devices together. 

On mobile, BT Halo customers can sign up to BT’s new ‘No Limits’ plan to get unlimited data and calls on both their smartphone, as well as their home phone and can choose to move to BT’s 5G service. All BT mobile customers within a Halo household will also get a double data boost.

Elsewhere, BT’s team of 900 Home Tech Experts can support customers setting up their BT TV, broadband, home phone and mobile services, and help repair problems. Halo customers will also get a free ‘Tech Health Check’ to make sure they’re is getting the best Wi-Fi connection in every room of their home.

These experts can be booked to come to a customer’s home, with two-hour appointment slots, seven days a week. 

Halo is available from to new customers from £57.99 per month. Halo effectively replaces BT Plus and all BT Plus customers will be auomatically upgraded.
