As you’d expect, the Galaxy Buds work best when paired with a Samsung Galaxy handset but they are compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled phone.

This is ideal if you’re an iPhone user but Apple’s AirPods aren’t to your taste, or aren’t as comfortable as you’d like.

Speaking of AirPods, the design of the latest AirPods Pro earbuds appear to take inspiration Samsung’s Galaxy Buds having replaced the hard plastic with soft silicone. By comparison, the AirPod Pros cost a staggering £250.

If you’re not an iPhone user, and don’t have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can still benefit from many of the Galaxy Buds customisation options via the the SmartThings or Galaxy Wearable apps.

As long as you’re running Android 7.1.1 or above, regardless of which handset you’re using, you can use these apps to adjust the EQ on the Galaxy Buds via a number of presets.

You can also use the app to enable or disable audio notifications – it’s possible to have messages read out to you – and customise the press-and-hold touchpad action.

If you’re in the market for a new phone, Amazon is additionally offering the Galaxy S10 5G for just £800 – a fantastic saving of £209.
