The GoPro Hero 7 White is now EVEN CHEAPER
Nab the cheapest Hero 7 for less
The entry-level GoPro Hero 7 White is currently available for £130, down from £150. GoPro’s budget option is already a great value action camera, so any additional discount is just icing on the cake.
If you’re unconvinced, consider this. The GoPro Hero 7 Black is still one of our favourite action cameras even after having been replaced by the Hero 8 Black. We praised the Hero 7 Black’s heavy-duty waterproofing and stunning HDR video quality, describing it as “the best action camera on the market” at the time.
I’m waffling on about the Hero 7 Black because the Hero 7 White takes the same basic formula and ditches a few smaller features. You lose 4K video recording and the full 12-megapixel sensor, but you keep the image stabilisation, slow-mo capture and 60fps, 1080p video.
The Hero 7 White also retains the same LCD touchscreen as its more expensive sibling, as well as that all-important waterproofing. It’s not quite as clever – lacking NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support – but the Hero 7 White is very clearly designed with simplicity in mind.
To that effect, controlling the thing is as straightforward as it could ever be; press the button on the top to start recording, and press it again to stop. The user interface is a stripped-back version of the one found on the Hero 7 Black, and really just lets you swap between photo, video and time-lapse modes.
Hopefully you can see what I’m getting at: the Hero 7 White is a simplified version of the pro-level Hero 7 Black, for people who don’t spend hours squatting on a hillside with a DSLR in hand. If you’re interested, act fast: this offer won’t last long.
