If you’ve not already hopped onto the air fryer bandwagon by now, deals events such as Black Friday and the Amazon Spring Sale are a great time to do so.

Between 10 and 16 March, Amazon is offering heaps of deals across a whole range of product categories as part of its Spring Deal Days Sale. And one of our favourite air fryers, the Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone is on sale for £171 (down from an average price of £227).

Strictly speaking, we didn’t review this exact air fryer model. However, aside from a reduced capacity and some slightly different design details, the Foodi Dual Zone (AF300UK) that we did review is almost exactly the same. And if cooking capacity is a priority, this deal on the Max model gets you an extra 1.9l for just £21.

In any case, what did we we think of the Foodi Dual Zone? Well, it’s our favourite Ninja air fryer, which is significant considering the brand’s standing in the air fryer space. We gave it a five star review and an Expert Reviews Best Buy award, calling it “what every good air fryer should be”.

It’s easy to use, convenient – thanks to two baskets for simultaneous cooking – and is particularly adept at cooking frozen foods.

Both the Foodi Dual Zone and the Max model on offer here have six cooking modes: air fry, roast, bake, reheat, dehydrate and a Max Crisp setting. It’s this last mode that really impressed us when we reviewed the AF300UK:

For thinner frozen foods such as french fries or onion rings, the Max Crisp function worked unbelievably well. In testing, this setting cooked 160g of potato lattices to crispy perfection in just six minutes, verses 15 minutes in a standard oven. It can handle larger quantities too, cooking 24 frozen nuggets in as little as eight minutes.

As its name suggests, the Ninja Foodi Max is big. However, compared to the the 7.6l Dual Zone model, it’s not much bigger than you’d expect. While the Dual Zone measures 31.5 x 38 x 26.5cm (HWD), the Max is 32.5 x 41.5 x 27cm.

If that’s too big for your space, yet you don’t want to sacrifice the cooking capacity, consider the Ninja Double Stack XL with its vertical drawer arrangement: currently £199 or £218 on Amazon (avg £214/244), depending on your colour choice.

Alternatively, the compact 5l Instant Pot Vortex air fryer is now just £50 on Amazon, down from its 180-day average price of £82.
