Now TV is running a list of deals on its entertainment, movie and sports passes.

Now TV Cinema pass deals:

• 12 month offer (was £95, now £45)

Now TV Sky Sports pass deal:

Beyond Netflix and Amazon Prime, there is another major player in the streaming TV space: Sky’s Now TV. Although you can stream from the app on various smart TVs and consoles, the easiest way is with Now TV’s own hardware, and this has been handsomely reduced for Black Friday at Currys.
 
The more interesting of the deals is the Now TV Smart Box. This offers 4K streaming on supported TVs as well as voice search via the remote. Usually setting you back £50, Currys has slashed the price in half, offering the Smart Box for just £24.99 – and that includes one month of Sky Cinema, Entertainment, and Kids, along with a single day of Sky Sports access. Then there’s the Now TV Smart Stick, also including voice search, but without the 4K streaming option, making it a better (and cheaper) option for older televisions. This usually retails for £30, but Currys has applied the same 50% discount here too, making it available for just £14.99 – and you get a three-month entertainment pass, with a one-day Sky Sports pass.
 
These passes may sound like nice freebies, but with the hardware costs coming down so much, they actually make the purchase a smart move in their own right. A Sky entertainment pass costs £7.99 per month, for example – and as you get three months free with the Smart Stick, you’re essentially getting a free month and free hardware, before you even get into the day of Sky Sports (£7.99 on its own). It’s a similar story for the Smart Box, as Sky Cinema goes for £9.99 a month, with the Kids package going for £3.99.
 
When you consider that both devices also let you stream programming from non-Sky channels, such as BBC and Channel 4, as well as YouTube, it all makes for a very compelling package.
