PS Plus May 2018: Beyond Two Souls and Rayman lead May’s offering

Brush up on Quantic Dream’s last hit ahead of Detroit: Become Human in May’s PlayStation Plus lineup

The PlayStation Plus free games lineup for May has arrived and, while it’s still not as heavy-hitting as some may like, it’s not a bad month to be a PS Plus subscriber.

Leading the charge this month is Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls and the wonderfully colourful Rayman Legends.

Starring Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, the PS4 remastering of Beyond: Two Souls is the perfect way to sink your teeth into a Quantic Dream game ahead of the highly anticipated Detroit: Become Human. Unfortunately, Beyond isn’t very good, so you may find yourself wanting to avoid that if you’re looking forward to sinking your teeth into Detroit when it arrives later in May.

Ubisoft’s colourful and chaotic side-scrolling platformer Rayman Legends is one of the best outings Ubisoft’s star has ever been on. Not only is it a brilliant multiplayer game, but it oozes with a charm that even Rayman Origins didn’t manage to hit.

Alongside the two PS4 games in this month’s PS Plus lineup, you’ll also get pirate RPG Risen 3: Titan Lords and Eat Them on PS3, with King Oddball and Furmins coming to PS Vita.

For some reason, this month doesn’t contain a single cross-play title, so if you don’t have a PS3 or PS Vita, you’ll only have access to Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends this month.
