Amazon Kindle lowest EVER price in Black Friday deal

Amazon cuts prices of the Kindle and Kindle Oasis in Black Friday deal

For Black Friday, Amazon is dishing out the customary reductions to its own products, including these deals on Kindle devices.

The standard Kindle has been brought down from £70 to £50, the bells-and-whistles Kindle Oasis has been cut from £230 to £170, and the child-friendly Kindle Kids Edition has been pushed from £100 to only £60.

1. Kindle (2019)

Price: £50 | Buy now from Amazon

The standard 2019 Kindle has everything you need to start reading ebooks, with an adjustable front light, Audible audiobook compatibility, long battery life and a comfortable design for long periods in your hand.

As our five-star review puts it: “The 2019 Kindle is solidly made, is light and feels comfortable to hold. The edges and front bezels are a little more rounded than the old model, but otherwise it’s a familiar design. The 6in E Ink screen dominates the front of the device, slightly inset to accommodate the infrared touch sensors that run around the edges, and broad bezels surround the screen giving you a good swathe of plastic to grip while you’re holding it one-handed.”

2. Kindle Oasis (2019)

Price: £170 | Buy now from Amazon

The Kindle Oasis (2019) is a more premium affair, with a larger display and a blue light-reducing front light to make nighttime reading easier on the eyes. We also gave it five stars in our review, calling it the best ebook reader out there.

We wrote: “With Audible audiobook support, IPX8 waterproofing, a super-sleek design and Amazon’s peerless ebook catalogue included, the Kindle Oasis remains at the top of the e-reader tree. It’s simply sublime.”

3. Kindle Kids Edition

Lastly, the Kindle Kids Edition has a protective case and a damage guarantee, as well as a subscription to Amazon Kids+ (formerly Fire for Kids Unlimited).

As we said in our review: “The main benefits of it over a regular Kindle are that you don’t have to fret about it getting broken – Amazon will replace it free of charge, without asking any questions, any time in the first two years if it does – and that Fire for Kids subscription. The latter gives your little ones access to thousands of children’s books at no additional cost, including the entire Harry Potter catalogue.”
