Samsung QF20 review

Once you’ve captured your footage and taken your photos, you can show them off to you friends on Facebook, Picasa and YouTube, or stream them to your TV or games console. To do so, you must connect to your Wi-Fi router, but the horrid touchscreen makes this more difficult than it needs to be. To enter usernames and passwords you must use a keypad that has one button for the letters A, B and C and another for D, E and F, and so on. No matter how careful we were, we always managed to hit other letters or switch from alpha symbols to numeric or punctuation. It’s worth persevering, however, because uploading a photo to Facebook, for example, is as easy as selecting it and pressing the OK button. You can even add comments.

We really like the online features of the HMX-QF20, and being able to upload photos and videos without touching a PC is a real bonus. However, our experience of shooting with the camera was spoilt by the annoying touchscreen, and the Panasonic HX-WA20 has the edge for image quality.
