Black Friday Microsoft Surface deals: Incredible discounts on the Surface Laptop 2, Pro 6 and Go

If you’re looking for Microsoft’s 2-in-1 computer this Black Friday, you’ve come to the right place

Of all the 2-in-1 computers we review on Expert Reviews, Microsoft’s Surface range is one of the most consistently highly rated. Unfortunately, that overall quality comes at a cost: the Surface range is expensive, which is why Black Friday is a welcome event. If there’s an opportunity to save a few quid on some of the best computers around, then why wouldn’t you?

Here are the best Microsoft Surface Black Friday deals we’ve found. We’ll be updating this page as new offers emerge.

1. Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 – £200 off at Microsoft Store

It may be the brand new Ultrabook on the block, but Microsoft has already slashed its entire Surface Laptop 2 range by £200. The cheapest configuration (i5, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD for £779) is now sold out, but other configurations are still available, and this remains one of the best laptops you can buy.

2. Microsoft Surface Go – was £510, now £440

The Surface Go may not have the grunt of its more expensive Pro siblings, but it’s a very capable machine in its own right when combined with the type cover. The model on sale here is the version with 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD drive, which is the one we raved about in our review. For reference, the cheaper 4GB eMMC version that we cautioned against starts at £380, making this even more of a bargain.

3. i5, 128GB Surface Pro 6 with Signature Type Cover – was £1,029, now £749

If you want the powerful recent Surface Pro 6, of course, you’re going to need to spend a bit more, but not as much as you might think. The i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD is down to just £750 at Amazon – a saving of £280.

Typically when you buy a Surface Pro, one of the offputting things is you need to buy the keyboard separately. Here, the luxury Signature version is thrown in free of charge – and it typically costs £150 on its own. If you want a bit more space, the 256GB version goes for £899, for a saving of £400 off RRP. 4. Various 2017 Microsoft Surface Pros – save up to £150

With the Surface Pro 6 now Microsoft’s product of choice, the company has been quietly shifting the 2017 models on the cheap. You can browse the available range at the Microsoft site, where you can still get up to £150 off the RRP of a device that’s still more than capable. In our tests, the battery was actually superior to this year’s version, too…

5. Surface Book 2, Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD

Microsoft’s laptop-cum-tablet offers a different approach to the challenge of 2-in-1 design but it’s always been a little overpriced for our liking. With £200 off the price of the 13.5in Core i5 model with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, however, it’s a lot more tempting. It has always been a powerful, flexible laptop but it’s now much more affordable.

6. 2017 Surface Laptop – save up to £400

Just as the Surface Pro 6 has replaced the 2017 Surface Pro, new Surface Laptops have replaced the original version. Once again, Microsoft is clearing out stock.

Discounts vary, depending on the configuration you go for, but for our money, the i5, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model for £799 (down from £1,079) looks like the right balance between grunt and cost.
