The high-functionality hybrid is going cheap thanks to this new Microsoft offer
It may only be August, but the back-to-school deals are coming in thick and fast. And this offer on the excellent (but oftentimes pricey) Surface Pro 6 really caught our eye.
Microsoft is offering the 128GB Surface Pro 6 in platinum WITH accompanying type cover all for just £779. That’s pretty much the cheapest we’ve seen it since Prime Day, Amazon’s annual sales extravaganza.

To put things in perspective about how much of an absolute steal this offer is, it’s currently shifting for £765 for THE DEVICE ONLY on Amazon. Add on the type cover and you can expect to pay a whopping £964.
Of course, we’re not just recommending the Surface Pro 6 to you because of the current £200 savings up for grabs. It’s a stellar hybrid: beautifully designed, speedy, lightweight and with a gorgeously vivid display to boot, we struggled to find major fault with the Surface Pro 6.

As a 2-in-1, the Surface Pro 6 combines the eminent portability of a tablet with the functionality of a laptop, particularly with its sleek type cover in tow. It’s powered by an 8th Gen Kaby Lake R Intel Core i5 CPU and Intel UHD Graphics 620 iGPU and runs on Windows 10 Home.
Our one niggle was that the price point was a tad high (read: “extremely pricey”), which, without the keyboard and stylus included, was a big turn off. However, with over £200 deducted from its RRP by Microsoft, this 2-in-1 bundle just became very, very tempting.
Specs-wise, the model on offer is the 128GB Surface Pro with 8GB of RAM and i5 in platinum (the colour not the precious metal, alas) with a black type over.
