Grab the Microsoft Surface 2-in-1 at its lowest price since Prime Day
The Surface Pro 7 is currently on sale at Amazon for £629, which is good news for anyone looking for a sturdy tablet/laptop hybrid. Here at Expert Reviews, we’ve been a fan of the Surface Pro 7 for a while, and we know this is a great deal not only because it is a massive 20% off the original price tag of £799, but because we named it the best version of a detachable tablet/laptop hybrid we had ever seen when we reviewed it.
Speaking of which: in our four-star review, there was little we could fault with the Surface Pro 7. For one, its screen, which stands at 12.3in, is impressively large, especially considering it’s a 2-in-1. Whether you like to watch shows sitting, standing or completely slumped, you now can comfortably with the Surface Pro’s integrated kickstand.
While the design may have remained pretty much the same the last few years, that’s only because it is tried-and-tested; the 3:2 aspect ratio is much easier to work on than other ultraportables that like to use 16:9.
It also stays true to the ultraportable nametag, with the tablet itself only weighing 775g. We were also impressed by the 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel Windows Hello authentication camera on the front, which makes for seamless opening. If you’re looking for a laptop that can also genuinely function as a tablet, the Surface Pro 7 is one of the best hybrids we’ve tested.
Annoyingly, you do have to purchase the Type Cover separately (which is basically essential), but it’s still a lot cheaper than the iPad Pro’s equivalent. Also, you can purchase third-party keyboards for around £40 so overall, still a bargain considering the reduced price.
Whether you need something lightweight to take back to the office or just want to binge Netflix shows while still in bed, this ultraportable is a must-have.
