We called the Dyson V11 Absolute the “best cordless vacuum around” in our full review and we weren’t exaggerating: it improves on the V10 Absolute in every way, delivering more power, longer battery life and unparalleled convenience. The Dyson V11 Absolute has a larger motor than its predecessor, leading to more suction power, and a heftier lithium-ion battery, which gives you more cleaning time. There are even sensors that help the cordless vacuum adapt to its surroundings.
However, the headline feature is the nifty High Torque cleaner head. This has more surface area than the V10 Absolute’s head, and an adjustable slider that you can use to ramp up the sucking power or slow it down. It also includes pressure sensors that cleverly detect the type of floor and adjust the suction accordingly – a great time saver.
It worked exceptionally well in our tests, picking up flour from a short-pile carpet and a hard floor with aplomb. It even hoovered up Cheerios without simply pushing them around. Battery life was similarly impressive: it lasted an hour in its lowest Eco mode and up to 12 minutes in the highest Boost mode, depending on the attachment you’re using.
