Mesh Wi-Fi kits are famously expensive, so we hailed the Tenda Nova MW3 as great value in our in-depth review. And it is, even at its full price of £80. So its Black Friday price of just £40 at Currys and Amazon (where it’s about to sell out) is an absolute steal.
So how does this mesh system work, and what will you get for your £40?
As explained in our four-star review, the Nova MW3 is similar to Google Wifi, the Linksys Velop and numerous other mesh networking kits. It’s essentially a Wi-Fi extender, able to clear up those annoying notspots in your home. And it requires barely any setup at all.
The Nova MW3 consists of three nodes, which you position in rooms around your home. The nodes communicate wirelessly with each other, acting as Wi-Fi access points to deliver a good signal to places where a single router wouldn’t reach.

Downsides? This mesh system won’t do anything to improve your internet speeds, and will likely reduce them instead. So if you’re looking for superfast downloads, or you regularly access mammoth files, then the Tenda Nova MW3 isn’t for you. Instead, it simply fills in gaps in Wi-Fi coverage, while leaving your connection fast enough to browse the web and even stream 4K video. It’s also really easy to set up, with barely any configuration involved at all.
