Looking for a cheap coffee pod machine this Prime Day? Look no further than this Lavazza deal

Amazon Prime Day (23-26 June) is usually a good time to shop for coffee machines. I started looking out for worthwhile savings before the sale kicked off on Tuesday and will be keeping my eye out for as many as I can until it comes to a close on Friday. 

I’ve already picked out a few of my favourite deals and collected them into a single roundup – over there you’ll find savings on espresso, filter, bean-to-cup and coffee pod machines. Out of the whole bunch, though, this is one of the cheapest deals you can pick up this Prime Day. 

Lavazza’s Jolie Evo coffee pod machine is currently just £45 on Amazon, down from an average price of £77. 

What did we think of the Lavazza Jolie Evo? 

We gave the Jolie Evo four stars and a Recommended award when we reviewed it in December 2024. It’s a minor upgrade on the original Jolie, already a fantastic pod machine, with some more eco-conscious tweaks including a move towards recyclable packaging and a shorter automatic shut-off time. 

That’s all great, but does it make good coffee? In short, yes. Both Sasha Muller (who reviewed the Evo) and myself (who reviewed the original Jolie) are fans, and for a while it’s been my capsule machine of choice over Nespresso. 

If there’s any drawback, it’s that you don’t get the same amount of capsule choice that Nespresso offers. If you’re likely to be won over by flavours such as Yuzu Vanilla or White Chocolate & Strawberry, Starbucks branded roasts or vitamin-infused “Coffee+” pods, you might want to consider the Nespresso Vertuo Pop machine – also discounted for Prime Day, at £59 (avg £71). Alternatively, the Vertuo Pop Stater Kit – which comes with an Aeroccino milk frother, cup set and 20 pods – is £99 (avg £142). 

But if you just want simple, tasty espressos and Americanos, the Lavazza Jolie Evo is a great pick. 

Is this a good deal?

A £32 discount on the Jolie Evo’s average Amazon price is pretty good. But what makes this a particularly good deal is just how cheap it is. At £45, there are few coffee pod machines out there that we’d recommend so enthusiastically.
