This Xbox Series X Black Friday deal won’t last much longer
Very is selling the Xbox Series X console for just £430 for Black Friday, but time is running out
It’s been a little over two years since the launch of the Xbox Series X and we’ve yet to see any real discounts on Microsoft’s next-generation console – that is, until now.
With this Black Friday deal from Very, you can get the 1TB model for £430 – £20 cheaper than you’ll find it elsewhere and a rare price cut on one of the hottest properties in tech. As Black Friday draws to a close, it’s that much more crucial that you act now to avoid disappointment.
In our Xbox Series X review, we gave Microsoft’s latest console five stars and our coveted Best Buy award, praising its ability to deliver 4K gaming at stable frame rates, blisteringly fast load times, and handy Quick Resume feature.
Our main criticisms related to its high price, which still remains pertinent but slightly less so with this deal, and a limited library of games. That library has expanded significantly in the two years since launch, with cross-platform titles such as Elden Ring and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla complementing heavy-hitting console exclusives such as Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.
That pair of exclusives may not be a match for what Sony has for the PlayStation 5, but Microsoft has an ace up its sleeve in the form of the Xbox Game Pass. The company’s subscription service provides access to a huge catalogue of older games, while also letting you play certain new releases on day one. Xbox Live Gold and EA Play are also included in the Ultimate tier membership, which is currently available for £1 for the first month and £10.99/mth thereafter.
There are also offers on the digital-only Xbox Series S, which can be bought for £189 or £229 with an additional white controller. While we can’t guarantee that the Xbox Series X and Series S won’t see further price cuts ahead of Christmas or in the New Year, BT Shop’s prices are currently as good as it gets, and stock is going fast so act quickly to avoid missing out.
