The Dyson V8 Animal is a great alternative to the company’s more expensive stick vacuum cleaners, now so more than ever thanks to this cracking Black Friday Dyson deal.
We awarded the Dyson V8 Animal five stars and our coveted Best Buy award when we reviewed it in July 2017, at which point in time it cost £370.
More recently, it’s been available for £300 but is out of stock everywhere but the Dyson website, where it’s currently available for £200 following a hefty £100 discount.
So, what makes the V8 Animal so great and why is this a Black Friday Dyson deal not to be missed?
We’ve already touched on price, but it’s worth reiterating that this is one of the most affordable Dyson stick vacuums still being sold. That doesn’t mean it’s short on useful accessories, however.
The V8 Animal comes with a direct drive cleaner head for removing ground-in dirt, a mini motorhead tool that’s perfect for tight spaces, a soft dusting brush with nylon bristles, a crevice tool for vacuuming around edges and narrow gaps, a combination tool for simple switching between surfaces and a low reach adaptor that helps you clean under furniture.
That’s a bountiful selection of accessories, ensuring you’ll always have the right tool for the right job.
Cleaning performance proved fantastic during testing, with the V8 Animal demonstrating impressive suction power, particularly when using the MAX suction mode.
Battery life in that mode is only seven minutes, however, so you’ll want to use it sparingly and plot your cleaning accordingly. When using the slightly less potent Powerful mode, you can expect up to 40 minutes of vacuuming time.
The V8 Animal does feel a little plasticky but there’s an advantage to this: the vacuum weighs just a touch over 2.5kg and is very easy to manoeuvre around your house or flat.
It may not have the power of some of Dyson’s pricier vacuums, but the V8 Animal is versatile, lightweight and affordable.
