BT TV will give new customers six months of free Amazon Prime Video

Existing customers can sign up for a 30-day trial

If you’ve been holding out on an Amazon Prime Video and BT TV subscription, today’s deal might be one for you. New BT TV customers can get six months of Amazon Prime Video for free; the deal also applies to current customers looking to upgrade their BT TV package.

Subscriptions to BT TV start at £3 per month, topping out at £12 per month, with contracts running for 12 months. Once you sign up to BT TV, you can access the Amazon Prime Video deal by following the instructions that you’ll be sent in a BT order confirmation email.

Happy with your BT TV package? That’s okay, BT won’t leave you completely out in the cold, as it’s also offering a 30-day free trial to Amazon Prime Video if you add it to your BT TV account; just remember to cancel the subscription if you don’t want to continue with it after the 30-day trial.

As Amazon Prime Video starts at £7.99 a month, this BT TV deal will save you £47.94 over six months, which you can then put towards another six months of Amazon Prime Video if you enjoyed your trial of it.

While there are plenty of video and TV streaming services available, notably Netflix and Now TV, Amazon Prime Video has its own suite of original TV shows as well as a clutch of movies that are included in the subscription. Acclaimed original Amazon TV series such as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which won an Emmy, are available as part of an Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Furthermore, for football fans from 3 December 20 midweek Premier League matches will be available for streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. These included Man United vs Tottenham, Chelsea vs Aston Villa and Arsenal vs Brighton.

So if you were pondering over a BT TV package, this offer might sweeten the deal.
