Nintendo Switch in BARGAIN bundle deal on Amazon UK

Get the Switch, The Witcher 3 and a Labo pack for under £300

I finally bought a Nintendo Switch bundle on Black Friday 2017. It set me back £320, and it’s a testament to how popular the machine is to this day that prices haven’t really dipped since then.

So if you’re after a Nintendo Switch bundle in the sales, this is the best we’ve seen so far. Amazon is selling the grey Switch with The Witcher 3 and the Nintendo Labo Vehicles pack for £299. That’s a saving of £40.98 on buying all the items separately.

You probably don’t need an introduction to the Nintendo Switch, but what about the games it comes with?

Well, The Witcher 3 is one of the finest RPGs to be released in the past five years, picking up numerous awards thanks to its deep gameplay and expansive world. There are hundreds of hours of entertainment here, and although the Switch version sometimes struggles framerate wise, it’s still averaging a very respectable 85% on Metacritic.

Labo, meanwhile, couldn’t be more different. For those that don’t know it’s a weird cross between software and new hardware – albeit hardware that you build yourself from bundled cardboard. It’s incredibly inventive, and this set is the Vehicles pack, which lets you build and play with a flight stick, submarine controls and a steering wheel. Neatly, the last of these can be used with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

As Vaughn wrote in his review: “What makes Nintendo Labo so sublime is how it uses simple materials – cardboard – to create wonderful contraptions.

“Instead of simply being aimed at kids or skilled adults, it’s entirely family-focused, and will appeal to kids as young as six all the way through to early teens. Heck, I’m nearly 30 and I was entranced by the folding of cardboard, the ingenuity of Nintendo’s craftsmanship and Labo’s seemingly limitless potential.”

Getting the Nintendo Switch and both games for less than £300 is as good a deal as we’ve seen so far. Given I paid a similar price two years ago with just one game, I wouldn’t bet on it going much lower before the Black Friday weekend is over.
